STORAGE TIPS
To maintain the freshness and flavour of our coffee, we package it in high quality foil bags with a robust barrier that shields against oxygen, moisture, and UV light. Our foil bags also feature one-way valves, allowing the beans to release carbon dioxide while keeping oxygen out, thus ensuring optimal preservation of freshness and flavour. This carbon dioxide buildup occurs within the beans after roasting and continues for a period afterward. If the beans are not allowed to release this gas, it can negatively impact the flavour and freshness of the coffee. Here are some essential storage basics to keep your coffee at its best:
Utilize airtight containers: Prevent oxygen exposure by storing your coffee in airtight containers to maintain freshness.
Keep away from heat sources: Protect your coffee from heat degradation by storing it in a cool, dark place away from ovens and other heat-emitting appliances.
Minimize moisture exposure: Coffee easily absorbs moisture, which can affect its taste. Store it in dry environments and use airtight containers to prevent moisture absorption.
Shield from light: Light exposure can compromise coffee quality. Store your coffee in opaque containers to protect it from direct sunlight.
FREEZER STORAGE
While you can freeze coffee, it's not the ideal method. Improper storage can lead to freezer burn and flavor loss. If freezing, use airtight containers and avoid frequent opening to maintain freshness.
REFRIGERATOR STORAGE
Storing coffee in the refrigerator is not recommended as it can absorb unwanted odors and moisture, affecting its flavor. Opt for pantry storage in airtight containers for best results.
